Kongo’nun Kuba halkı tarafından raffia liflerinden üretilen bu kumaş, yalnızca bir tekstil değil, zamana direnen bir sanat formudur. Doğal boyalarla işlenen ritmik geometrik desenler, hem toplumsal belleği hem de soyut bir estetik dili yansıtır. Her motif, tekrarıyla bir düzen, sapmasıyla ise yaratıcı özgünlük sunar. Bugün Kuba kumaşları, hem etnografik kökenleri hem de çağdaş sanatla kurdukları diyalog sayesinde evrensel bir sanat nesnesi olarak değer görmektedir.
Teknik ve Malzeme: raffia palmiyesi yapraklarından elde edilen liflerle yapılır.Lifler boyanır, dokunur veya aplike/işleme teknikleriyle geometrik desenler oluşturulur.
